Inspired by Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania, this piece celebrates historical subversion, contrasting strict Victorian architecture of the corset and bustle with defiant red plaid.
The garment was designed and simulated in Marvelous Designer and brought to life on an animated MetaHuman, utilizing retargeted mocap data to showcase how the heavy drape of the bustle reacts to dynamic movement. Rendered in Unreal Engine, the final piece utilizes the latest UE5.7 Substrate material framework to contrast the layered, light-catching satin with the matte, woven red highland plaid.
